Hi, can you explain what you mean by the below ? "Depending on where it trades on Monday (I will probably take some average of the first hour or two of trading as closing price). "

I note down price of a stock when I close it, but yesterday the market was closed so I couldn't do it. But I think selling today makes sense even if price drops to $1.4. (unless the stock price really craters at opening). I usually want to set closing price of an idea where a reasonable amount of volume has traded so instead of picking opening price I will pick where it trades the first hour or two depending on volume traded.

Would you not just use your actual close price?

No I like to use the price soon after announcing it here. Seems more honest and consistent to me to keep track of results (otherwise I could just claim I sold it at the top).

Sometimes I sell at a higher price and announce closing my position at a lower price, and sometimes other way around. For example I sold a large portion of TK group at well above HK$2 earlier this year, and then sold the rest at HK$1.8 recently. But will note closing price of HK$1.8.

Sangamo I traded around buying at $0.67 and selling at $0.9-1.2. Then got back in at $0.78 and sold at just above $1. But here I will note it as bought at $0.7 and sold at whatever price it opens with large enough volume.

JNBY I bought a small position at HK$13 and sold it at HK$12. Then bought a large position in HK$6-7 range in 2022 (mentioning it in a post at the time) and sold at around HK$10 I think. But idea is currently in list of open ideas at opening price of HK$13 and trading at HK$15 now.

Except for 2022 I think my own results roughly match returns of paper trade results plus or minus a few %.
